Improvement of ladle opening rates
This research project extended the knowledge about the real conditions of nozzle filler sands during steelmaking in the casting channel of a steel ladle, about the sintering and infiltration behaviour of nozzle filler sands in the laboratory, about the modelling of temperature distribution in the nozzle filler sand and about the ladle opening performance of new nozzle filler sands during long-term field tests.
